Ouf Terms of Use

These are the terms for using Ouf, the iPhone app. Installing or using Ouf means you accept them. If you don't, don't use the app.
Ouf is made by two people and published on the App Store by Anton Vronskii, an individual developer. There is no company behind it. Contact: vronskii.anton@gmail.com.
This agreement is between you and us. Apple is not a party to it.
What Ouf is
You write down a stuck matter in your own words. An AI turns it into a case — a goal, the facts it picked up, a plan with steps — and you keep working that case over time.
What Ouf is not
Ouf is not professional advice. Not legal, financial, tax, medical, or immigration advice. It doesn't know your situation the way a professional you hire would, and it is not accountable for the outcome the way a professional is. For anything with real money, real deadlines, or real legal consequence, check with someone qualified before you act.
Ouf does not act for you. It doesn't send emails, file forms, call anyone, make payments, or agree to anything on your behalf. Every step in a plan is a step you take.
Ouf is not a reminder system you should rely on. It has no guaranteed delivery, and a missed deadline is not something it can be trusted to prevent.
The AI will sometimes be wrong
This is the part worth reading twice.
The AI writes plausible, confident sentences whether or not it has the facts. It can invent a rule, a fee, a deadline, or an office that doesn't exist. It can be out of date. It can misread what you wrote and build a whole plan on that misreading. When it searches the web, it can pick up a wrong or stale source.
We work on this constantly, and it will still happen. Check anything that matters before acting on it — especially dates, amounts, official procedures, and anything you'd be upset to get wrong. You are responsible for what you do with what Ouf tells you.
Your side of it
Use Ouf for your own personal admin, lawfully. Don't use it to break the law or to harm anyone. Don't try to get around the usage limits, take apart or interfere with the app or our servers, or run automated traffic through it.
Every installation gets a limited amount of AI usage at our expense. We can change that amount, and we can cut off an installation that abuses it or costs us disproportionately. Ouf is free right now; if that ever changes, you'll be told before you're charged anything.
You need to be at least 13 to use Ouf.
What you write stays yours
You own everything you put into Ouf. We claim no rights over it, and we have no arrangement that lets it be used to train AI models. What happens to your text technically is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
The app itself — its code, design, and name — stays ours.
If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve Ouf, without owing you anything for it. Don't send us anything confidential that way.
Back up what you can't lose
Your cases live on your phone, not on our servers. If you lose your phone, delete the app, or a bug corrupts a file, we cannot recover it for you — we don't have it. Ouf writes backup copies to your own iCloud when it can, and Settings has a restore option, but neither is a guarantee. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
Availability
We may change Ouf, break things while improving them, or stop offering it. There is no promised uptime. Ouf depends on services we don't run — Apple's, OpenRouter's, the model providers' — and when they're down, Ouf is down.
Ouf is offered in a limited set of countries. It is not offered in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.
No warranty, and what we're liable for
Ouf is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise it will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose of yours.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost money, missed deadlines, or decisions you made based on what Ouf told you. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us for the app — which today is nothing.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending it
You can stop using Ouf at any time by deleting it. We can end your access if you break these terms. The sections about ownership, warranties, and liability survive.
Apple
You got Ouf through the App Store, so a few things follow from that. These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Ouf. If Ouf fails to conform to any warranty, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim about Ouf — product liability, legal non-compliance, consumer protection, or a claim that Ouf infringes someone's intellectual property. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes to these terms
We update this page and change the date at the top. We don't send notifications about it, so the date is how you tell. Continuing to use Ouf after a change means you accept it.
